individual therapy
Many of us carry around wounds from past traumas that impact our ability to be present, have regulated nervous systems, and avoid constant triggers. I work with clients to develop a better understanding where their triggers stem from and utilize mindfulness, somatic, and relational techniques to guide them through processing the trauma while also developing self-compassion.
I’m open to working with clients from all backgrounds and am inspired by the chance to learn from each other through the therapeutic relationship. However, my expertise lies in working with Black & Brown folks who are LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and/or have CPTSD (complex trauma) histories.
relationship & family therapy
Relationships often serve as mirrors of ourselves and are opportunities for profoundly deep healing to happen. I work with folks in all types of relationship structures cultivate safe dynamics through learning to compassionately communicate needs & boundaries.
My approach is rooted in attachment, somatic, and psychodynamic theories. I offer mindfulness techniques to help clients ground in and outside of session. I’m especially passionate about working with folks who are LGBTQIA+, non-monogamous, on the ace/asexual spectrum, kinky, and in non-traditional family structures.
ecotherapy
Also known as forest bathing or shinrin-yoku in Japanese, there is growing evidence to suggest that spending time in nature can help to improve your mental health. And if you’ve ever experienced a sense of peace & calm after a hike or walk in nature, than you know this to be true firsthand. I’m deeply passionate about nature and enjoy exploring ways to incorporate it into healing practices. I offer ecotherapy sessions for individuals, couples, and groups as a part of our regular therapy and aim to make it an accessible option for clients.
